Founding Account Executive
Salient is seeking a Founding Account Executive to join our team. We are in an unbelievable position of reaching well over $10m in ARR in under 2 years with zero sales presence at the company. We are seeking an experienced SaaS based Account Executive who is excited by this unique opportunity to come into a rapidly scaling early stage AI company with product market fit clearly established and with uncapped commissions. You'd be instrumental in accelerating Salient's growth trajectory by closing deals with major financial institutions. You'll drive our go-to-market strategy, build relationships with key decision-makers in the lending industry, and communicate the transformative value of our AI-powered loan servicing platform to prospects and clients. We're under 20 people and valued at over $500m in recent rounds - reaching scaling heights rarely seen at startups.

About the Role
As our Founding Account Executive, you'll be instrumental in accelerating Salient's growth trajectory by closing deals with major financial institutions. You'll drive our go-to-market strategy, build relationships with key decision-makers in the lending industry, and communicate the transformative value of our AI-powered loan servicing platform to prospects and clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies targeting mid-market lenders
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Navigate complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering and Customer Success teams
- Provide market feedback to help shape product roadmap
- Represent Salient at industry events and conferences
Requirements
- 3+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience, preferably in fintech or financial services
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding quota
- Experience selling technical solutions to financial institutions
- Strong understanding of lending operations and compliance
- Excellence in consultative selling and relationship building
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Self-motivated with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
- Ability to work 4 days a week from our San Francisco office and travel to clients on an as needed basis (open to candidates willing to relocate)
As an early-stage company building at the frontier of AI, we work with high intensity and commitment. While schedules can vary by role/team, many weeks will demand extra focus, flexibility and time particularly during major launches and high impact sprints. We're seeking those who are aligned to and able to commit to that expectation which includes 4 days per week in our San Francisco Office.
$150k-$200k OTE but with uncapped commissions - equity also included
